Introduction to Christopher Williams
Welcome to my new (and improved) web page. As an educator since 2000, I have worked diligently to create a classroom environment that fosters student growth and opportunity to learn about history and social studies in a meaningful way. Students are encouraged to solve problems and innovate using technology as well as collaboration techniques. My students use computer applications that are cutting edge and industry standards. They learn not only how to succeed, but how to fail and learn from those failures.
Personally, I graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, in 2000 with a BS in History and Social Studies Secondary Education. I have also earned my MS in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State in 2012. I currently hold licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (expires 2020) for Social Studies education (7-12) and Administration and Supervision (Pre-K – 12).
Professionally, I thoroughly enjoy the classroom and hope to move into administration so I can help more students. I have been told I have a bit of naiveté when it comes to my students, but I believe that if a teacher shows trust and respect for students from the first day, the students will live up to that expectation.
